The "Priestess" of Mithras.............
I added the following post as I thought it was a bit unusual, (like the Jew box one) The small odd pic here is believed to be of a young Polish woman who appears to be dressed up as a priestess of Mithras. I found the original photo attached in a colourful second hand book on Roman Mythology. The pic itself gave reference on the back to the famous carnival of Venetian masks (1983), and costumes where she probably bought her novel attire. She seems to be worshipping the Sun which played a vital role in the cult of Mithras itself. Her "gold" mask represents the rays of the Sun, but does not cover the area below her nose as her red lipstick can just be seen along with her jaw. Unfortunately, the image is not very good, or clear but the basic outlines of her gold, and black dress can clearly be seen along with her staff. I may get a better reproduction of the above pic..... Looking thoughtful and...
