Some Thoughts and Memories

Though I love Early Music (ie. Medieval, Renaissance, and the Baroque) my musical tastes are infact very varied...as partially indicated on the profile section of this blog site...However, there is one very specific piece of music which hits it off with me completely. It is An Ending (Ascent) by Brian Eno. To me it always hits the right notes. It is magical, and indeed, transcendent......  Ofcourse, there are many excellent examples of computer generated music artfully produced . But for me An Ending is it..!! It sums up everything..about  life and the universe...and as such I have placed an entry here along with relevant links... Moreover, such music when concentrated upon via meditation can become subtler, and subtler in one's mind, and hence, become more, and more glorious, and transcendental..Here, I refer to the deep, more esoteric side of music at higher levels of consciousness. I added the following post as I thought it was a bit unusual, (like the Jew box one)  The small odd pic here is believed to be of a young Polish woman who appears to be dressed up as a priestess of Mithras. I found the original photo attached in a colourful second hand book on Roman Mythology. The pic itself  gave reference on the back to the famous carnival of Venetian masks (1983), and costumes where she probably bought her novel attire. She seems to be  worshipping the Sun which played a vital role in the cult of Mithras itself. Her "gold" mask represents the rays of the Sun, but does not cover the area below her nose as her  red lipstick can just be seen along with her jaw. Unfortunately, the image is not very good, or clear but the basic outlines of her gold, and black dress can clearly be seen along with her staff. The above is what I refer to as the Jew Box which was given to me by old friend Chris a long while ago. The famous Star of David  has great esoteric significance. It can symbolize the Perfected Man, or indeed Woman through the many rounds of reincarnation... Incidently, the Box is the only "antique" proper I have in the flat. I believe in living very simply as we tend to clutter our life, and our homes with far too much stuff which usually has little practical value..But I have though  hoarded loads of books which I will probably be rid off fairly soon...! These notably are non-fiction works on parapsychology, mysticism, history, philosophy, psychology, science, mathematics, and the like.                                                 Inside the Box..................               ...

A few examples of my "instant" sketches of the faces of people. More may be added when I am more ready. Most of them are anonymous unless otherwise stated. RS The Polish Girl who visited Serena Hall where I did this sketch of her.. The image here is that of Chris, or Australian Chris mentioned on occasion on this blog. His hair  was ginger colour, and the sketch was produced  in 2006. Infact, the Chris pic was the first one I ever did of the human face after many..many years of neglecting this kind of art. I have to say that I find conspiracy theorists usually tiresome, and I try to avoid them as far as I can. I remember on one occasion being in the internet room of Serena Hall a long while ago, and I was keeping an eye on some climate change conference on the net. I then talked briefly to a black friend in the vicinity who was of the opinion that it was all hoax. My ears were on fire. I could not believe what I was hearing, and I said I would rather believe in the scientific evidence from credible sources than some conspiracy theorist. He replied with "you would...wouldn't you.!" I then I asked him why he had said what he said!! What followed blew my mind, but I had to control myself. His response was  that certain big businesses wanted to make big money out of producing green products and services. In order to do this, they concocted the idea of climate change, and hence, the possible global warming catastrophe. I never heard such nonsense in my life..I nearly blew...

I have on occasion been to a number of local political "events".....These have included a film at the Labour HQ in Chalvey in connection with the famous strike in Dagenham ....Seeing another  film at the Slough Council entitled The Age of Stupid dealing with Climate Change....Celebrating India's Independence Day at the Hindu Temple...Talking to a Palestinian protest group in the high street..Meeting protesters concerned with making Kashmir an independent state seperate from  India... On one occasion, a long time ago I met Caroline Lucas (before she became an MP) at a stall in the High Street. I tried to attract her to the great importance of monetary reform. She did not seem to know anything about it, and so I gave her some contacts notably Positive Money. There used to be a series of talks in St Marys Church on political issues notably by the "disbanded" Fenner Brockway "group."It attracted a number of famous people such as Tony Benn. Als...
