Meeting Nabil Shaban
Around the start of the 21st Century I came across Nabil Shaban. At first I did not know his name but discovered him by chance in a public library in London. He came towards me in his wheelchair in which his small body was seated. I asked him ..." Have you been on the television recently?" I seemed to have recognised him. He replied yes, and we had a chat. He said he was a disabled actor who worked on a number of projects including Dr Who as an alien called Sil. He was also interested in the occult to some extent. He also mentioned his desire to find a book on UFOs, and Ancient Egypt. He seemed to be an unusually intriguing person with a very sharp mind. But he was also someone who quite understandably had a big chip on his shoulder concerning his physical disability. It would have been nice to have got to know him better...but that was not to be...
